2025 Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle Might be the Coolest Scrambler So Far

You only need to take a good look at a Ducati Scrambler in flesh to see how well-built this motorcycle is. It has fantastic fit-n-finish and build quality. As an entry point into the Ducati family, it is as premium as you’d expect a Ducati to be.
Now, a new version of the Scrambler has been launched in India, called Full Throttle, and it is what many people might consider the sweetest 800cc Scrambler. With its exclusive black and bronze colour scheme and a Termignoni exhaust, it’s got a darker attitude compared to the more playful appearances of yellow and red.
The good thing is, all these colours look good on the Scrambler and reveal the bike’s versatile character loudly.
Launched at a price of INR 12,60,000 ex-showroom, the 2025 Scrambler Full Throttle is INR 1,69,000 cheaper than the standard Scrambler Icon and INR 2,63,300 cheaper than the Icon Dark. Among the Scramblers, it’s only a matter of taste of what model/colour you prefer if money is not a factor. All Scramblers shall deliver a similar riding experience with a touch of their own personalities.

I feel that the Full Throttle livery is very smartly executed; the black base has a fantastic touch of bronze all over it. It is minimal, yet, clearly visible. The side panels (below the rider seat) have been redesigned compared to the ones on the Icon and adorn the number 62 (it denotes the year 1962, when the Scrambler was first introduced).
Like other 800cc Scramblers, the Full Throttle makes 73 HP @ 8,250 RPM and 65.2 NM of torque @ 7,000 RPM. What these numbers confirm is that the Termignoni exhaust is there for sound and not to enhance performance. That’s perfectly alright, Ducati and Termignoni are a match made in heaven, the bikes sound even better with it. I am personally not a fan of aftermarket exhausts, but Termignoni is one of the very few I like.
Also, Termignoni makes some of the nicest looking exhausts in the market and on the Full Throttle, it only adds to the bike’s premiumness. Along with a darker shade and a handlebar that’s a little lower than the one on the Icon, the Full Throttle looks stunningly stealthy. I am in love with how the new Full Throttle looks.

The motorcycle gets a full set of electronics that’s available as standard on other Scrambler models - ride by wire, Rain and Road ride modes, power modes, cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, full LED lighting, Ducati Quick Shift (up and down) as well as a 4.3-inch TFT display. The KYB 41mm upside-down forks are nonadjustable while the rear KYB shock absorber is preload adjustable. Brakes are from Brembo with a 4-piston radially-mounted caliper on a 330mm front disc and a single-piston caliper on a 245mm rear disc.
My own experience with the first-gen Ducati Scrambler
Back in 2016, I spent a good amount of time with a first-generation Scrambler. Riding it remains one of the great experiences of my life - the engine showed character due to it being a 90-degree air-cooled twin and the performance was very satisfying. But the highlight to me was that its ease and agility in Delhi traffic was surprising and enviable. That Scrambler would go through traffic like it was a much smaller motorcycle.
The Scrambler itself isn’t big as such. Sure it is substantial enough especially because of that L-twin engine, but it is still a compact motorcycle. The chassis and suspension were so good on the bike that I never had a moment of nervousness. My only problem with it was the heat it sent to my legs when stationary or when stuck in heavy traffic. But the heat would disappear as soon as the bike would attain some speed.
This is one of the reasons why the current generation of the Scrambler has its exhaust routed differently. The new routing is said to help with heat management. And that’s a good news.

The current Scrambler looks even better; a bit more refined and contemporary. The present design makes me want it even more than before. I generally love the Scrambler in yellow and red (and I don’t really care much about the other colours), but like I said, if money is not a factor, I would get the new Full Throttle!
