The XPulse is Hero’s flagship, and it’s the best motorcycle it has ever made, especially for enthusiasts. True, the bike’s off-road-oriented nature may not be to everyone’s liking, but it’s a pretty solid allrounder: good city bike, great on bad roads, and equally impressive off the road too.

Some months back, Hero gave the XPulse 200 its biggest update when they upgraded the engine from 2-valve to 4-valve, to allow for better highway cruising ability at triple digit speeds. They also upgraded the headlight and seating comfort. The XPulse 200 is a better motorcycle than ever before.

Realizing its off-road potential, and to encourage riders’ interest in taking the bike off-road, Hero has been providing the Rally kit as accessory, which includes handlebar risers, longer-travel fully-adjustable front and rear suspension with higher ground clearance, longer side stand, flat seat, and off-road tyres.

Now, as a limited edition, Hero has launched the more off-road-ready version of the XPulse 200, called XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition. It comes with longer-travel fully adjustable suspension, handlebar riser, and longer side stand as standard. The front suspension now has increased stroke of 250mm while the rear, with 10-step adjustability, has 220mm of travel. The ground clearance has been increased to 270mm, resulting in the increased seat height of 885mm. The seat and the tyres are also unchanged from the standard XPulse 200. You can still opt for the rest of the things from the rally kit. And yes, the rally kit remains available to the standard XPulse owners.

The Rally Edition carries the signature of CS Santosh, India’s champion rally rider, and the first Indian to participate and complete the Dakar Rally. For more visual differences from the standard XPulse 200, the Rally Edition has different graphics and a big Hero label on the fuel tank. The bike will come in only color combo: white with black and Hero Motocorp graphics.

Hero Motocorp is organizing the Hero Dirt Biking Challenge which will begin on 13th August and will go on till 2nd October. The event will be held in different cities across the country.

The XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition is available to book only through Hero's online E-Shop portal, which can be accessed on Hero Motocorp website. It's priced at INR 1,52,100 ex-showroom.
